"A note on overall costuming, given my familiarity with the department on that score: I was so impressed with the variety and expertise in the entire concert. Each design suited each piece, enhanced the meaning of the piece without distracting from the dancing. The pieces were flattering, well fit and beautifully constructed, and beyond those things, still totally danceable. In particular I was so excited by the patterning in the gold set for in the opening work."

Horror, humor mix in heartfelt 'Little Shop' at Hangar
By Barbara Adams
Ithaca Journal July 14, 2014
"Everyone else — like the shop’s customers and the various promoters seeking to capitalize on the bizarre plant — is played by Bruce Warren, in multiple guises. (Thanks to excellent costuming by Emma Scholl, who also does especially well by Seymour and Audrey.)"

Full-blown Midlife Crisis Unfolds on Stage
By Sue Henninger
Tompkins Weekly June 24, 2013
"Designer Emma Scholl’s costumes are fantastic. Barney is perfectly clad in one of the three predictable outfits he owns for each of his trysts. The women he meets are also clothed in garments that reinforce their basic character, be it frivolous and flighty, prudish and proper, or hip and fashionable."

"Here the costumer, Emma Scholl, was able to run free with her imagination, for the costumes were extraordinary. Marzipan Paste... truly was a delightful culmination of all its parts -- choreography, sound, text and costume -- in synchronicity."
